PVT

As polymers are processed at high temperatures and pressures, the relationship between pressure, volume and temperature (PVT) is of great importance.

The PVT option includes a special piston tip arrangement, a special die and nut arrangement for sealing, and a bespoke software module for test and analysis.

The test is carried out isothermally in order to establish the relationship between pressure and volume at each temperature. Seals in the standard PVT system are designed for use at temperatures up to 250ºC.
