The Mastersizer 3000 laser diffraction particle size analyzer delivers rapid, accurate particle size distributions for both wet and dry dispersions with the minimum of effort. Measuring over the nanometer to millimeter particle size ranges, it packs exceptional performance into the smallest of footprints, bringing operator-independent measurements that every user can rely on.
The Mastersizer 3000 is the latest generation of the world’s most popular particle sizing instrument. Incorporating expert engineering and applications know-how into every stage of its design, it delivers:
The Mastersizer 3000 uses the technique of laser diffraction to measure the size of particles. It does this by measuring the intensity of light scattered as a laser beam passes through a dispersed particulate sample. This data is then analyzed to calculate the size of the particles that created the scattering pattern.
A typical system is made up of three main elements:
When you purchase a Malvern product we understand that this is just the first stage of a working relationship that will last for the lifetime of the instrument. Some customers just need to ask an occasional question or to download a software upgrade, whilst others require a comprehensive support contract with priority call out and fixed cost of ownership. Whatever your situation Malvern will provide the right support for you.

This live online demo is designed to provide you with an introduction to the Mastersizer 3000. You will be able to take a look at the Mastersizer 3000 and it’s accessories via the webcam in our lab, and we will share the Mastersizer 3000 software wit...
The development of oral solid dose (OSD) products requires a knowledge of how the physical properties of the excipients and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) present within a formulation affect product performance. This requires access to rele...
Additive Manufacturing, colloquially referred to as 3D Printing, is being purported as the next industrial revolution. What many don’t realize is that this technology has been under development for over 20 years and has found application in a diverse...
In March 2015 the Mastersizer 2000 reached the end of its 16.5 year production run. Although the system is still supported, we believe that the Mastersizer 3000 represents the most capable particle size analysis system available today. In launching t...
En este tercer webinario en la serie Masterclass de tamaño de partícula vamos a cubrir el desarrollo de métodos con enfoque en las técnicas de difracción láser y análisis de imágenes automatizado. Lo más importante en el desarrollo del método es siem...
