 In this seminar we will describe how the technique of laser diffraction provides formulation scientists and device developers with a unique tool for better understanding the processes involved in spray drug delivery. Examples of its application in the development of dry powder inhaler and nebulae products will be presented. These will show how the speed of data acquisition of the system, coupled with its ability to make measurements which are independent of flow rate, provides the data required to screen formations for the correct dispersion properties.
